Genii

The Genii were the strongest power after the Wraith in the Pegasus Galaxy before the arrival of the Tau’ri on Atlantis. They look outward as ordinary people living in huts and carry on farming and trading, but in reality this is all a facade and serves as camouflage against the Wraith and other hostile species. The majority of Genii lives in huge, underground bunkers, in order to avoid thinning through the Wraith. Once the Genii belonged to a coalition of the most advanced peoples of the Pegasus Galaxy, but the alliance was destroyed by the Wraith. Since then, the Genii have been secretly working to develop weapons with which they can fight the Wraith. This culminated in the development of the atomic bomb, which however is not fully developed. Also, after stolen data from Atlantis, they were able to build their own small space fleet with which they can defend themselves against the Wraith and other enemies.

The Genii are one of the many non-playable races in TPC and acting as a pirate faction. Besides their homeworld Genii they occupy some other planets in the Pegasus Galaxy too. They can also be part of a campaign in some of the GC’s.
