Tok'ra

The Tok’ra are a resistance movement within the Goa’uld. Since they only take possession of voluntary hosts and share the body with them, they condemn the Goa’uld’s way of taking control of the host body and giving themselves up as gods. They received these teachings from their primal mother, the Goa’uld Queen Egeria, who was captured by Ra a thousand years ago and hidden in a canoe on Pangar. Since then their descendants are fighting the Goa’uld. However, since they are resistance fighters and their numbers shrink more and more, they are mostly hidden. Espionage, infiltration and sabotage belong to their methods. They use this to pit the System Lords, so they fight against each other and thereby weaken themselves. In order not to be discovered, the Tok’ra build underground bases with a huge tunnel system. First after the fall of the Goa’uld they were able to erect a large city of glass and crystals on their new homeworld.

Unlike the other non-playable factions in TPC, the Tok’ra do not occupy any planets. They serve merely as support for the Tau’ri as well as their allies, and will only occosional be part of a campaign in some of the GC’s.
