Pegasus Chronicles
Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles is a non-commercial modification for the real-time strategy game Star Wars - Empire at War: Forces of Corruption.
The modification is, like its predecessor, Stargate - Empire at War, based on the universe of the well known Stargate TV series.
As a total conversion Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles replaces models, graphics, sounds, maps and videos from Star Wars - Empire at War: Forces of Corruption with assets from the Stargate universe made by the Stargate Modding Group.
The Stargate universe serves as a template, and thus the modification is not to be mistaken for a 1:1 copy of the series.
Because of that especially the new playable Wraith faction features new ships never seen in the series. This was done in order to make the Wraith viable and balanced as a faction.
Including the Wraith the following three factions are playable in Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles:
the Tau’ri (an alliance between the humans of Earth and Asgard)
Anubis (a mighty lord of a group of aliens who were worhsipped by the old egyptians as gods)
the Wraith (a humanoid alien race that feed on human life force)
Apart from the three playable factions you will encounter many non-playable ones known from the Stargate universe such as the Replicators, the Asurans, the systemlord alliance, the Aschen, the Ori and many more.
Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles has got a huge fanbase with close to 2,5 million hits on its Moddb-profile, more than 2300 likes on Facebook and more than 10900 registered users on its own website (2012-10-20). Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles was also the most popular modification on Moddb.com in both 2008 and 2009. In 2008 the modification stood up against 8575 other modifications and in 2009 against 10988.
