The space station serves the Goa’uld as orbital command centre as well as to ward off enemy attacks on the planet and can store up to 5 steps be upgraded. It is available both in Skirmish and in Galactic Conquest. In GC it is a prerequisite for the construction of space buildings and for the production of space units and can produce from tech level 1 Needle Threaders to educate enemy territories. In Skirmish the station is intended to build spaceships and to call some heroes. In addition, they can be optimised as well as all space units through upgrades. It is equipped with advanced sensor systems, a subspace communications array, strong shields, a thick hull plating, a huge hangar bay and powerful weapons batteries. While level 1 is very small and has just a few weapons level 5 is quite large and armed with some artillery guns and stick many small, medium and large staff weapon batteries. The crew consists of warriors, priests and slaves, amounting to up to 2000 Jaffa. In the hangar bay fighters and bombers are stationed and in GC the space station reseives some capital ships for support during a battle. |

The Goa’uld construct large mining complexes on asteroid surfaces to mine for Naquadah, Trinium or other valuable ores. Hundreds of slaves mine the minerals from the asteroid’s interior and transport them to a depot at the spaceport. There they are transported to the refineries by cargo ship for further processing and refinement. Each mine is governed by a Goa’uld administrator who resides in a palace at the top of the camp, overlooking the slave settlement. An atmospheric shield protects the workers from the vacuum of space. In addition, the Goa’uld use the asteroid mines as penal colonies and prisons for disloyal and enemy Jaffa. Increases the share of income of the planet. |

Asteroid mines generates income and are available both in Skirmish and in Galactic Conquest. In Skirmish, the generation rate of the resources can be increased by a 2-step upgrade. Since not every asteroid contains raw materials, asteroid mines can be built in GC’s only on certain planets. |

In order to repel hostile fighters and bombers the Goa’uld use a weapons platform armed with multi-barrelled staff weapons. Powered by a liquid Naquadah generator the Small Staff Weapon Satellite is capable of destroying nearly all hostile fighter and bomber squadrons within a short amount of time since first contact. However, it is less effective against bigger ships, not being able to inflict the same amount of damage on larger, shielded targets. |

Large Staffweapon Satellite

The Heavy Staff Weapon Satellite’s twin staff weapons primarily act as a defence against capital ships. It can also, in times of need, engage enemy fighter-class vessels, however its inaccuracy against small and nimble targets makes it very ineffective in such situations. The dual staff weapons inflict heavy damage to shields and most hull types. The Heavy Staff Weapon Satellite is powered by a liquid Naquadah generator and stays in operation for years before it runs out of power. |

Jamming Satellite

The Jamming Satellite was developed by the Goa’uld to affect the systems of enemy ships. It has a pyramid-shaped appearance and has spiky antennas outside. A generator is located within, producing an energy field within a radius of several hundred kilometers, and thus disrupt the enemy’s sensors. It is also able to locate camouflaged units within the field, to reduce the visibility of enemy ships and to block the guidance systems of missiles, making them miss their targets. Also, the Jamming Satellite prevents that enemy fleets in the orbit can retreat in the Hyperspace. |
